By now, we've all heard that Caliente is Benjamin Moore's Color of the Year (not to be mistaken with Pantone's Ultra Violet, THE Color of the Year), and according to Ellen O'Neil of Ben Moore,
"Caliente is the signature color of a modern architectural masterpiece; a lush carpet rolled out for a grand arrival; the assured backdrop for a book-lined library; a powerful first impression on a glossy front door. The eye can’t help but follow its bold strokes. Harness the vitality.”
But since red tends to be pretty low on my list of go-to colors, I'm personally more interested in the other beautiful hues outlined by Ben Moore to be the it- colors this year. I'm especially drawn to a rose/gray palette, which this year's color trends favor an a multitude of hues and saturations.
