Spring is here! I've been itching to add more color to my home lately, after emerging from a winter hibernation of neutrals. As I was reviewing my projects from the past year, I revisited this one that I didn't get to get final photos of. It all started when Lindsay Goffman of Stampede Ventures reached out to collaborate on her new office space. We had previously worked together on a conference room and joint office space, but with she wanted this space to reflect her unique personality and stand out from the rest of the office. Since she is a film producer and mega creative this was no simple task, but she already had made some great initial steps in the brainstorming of the office design so we quickly snowballed on her concept. We chose a great colorful Moroccan shag rug to be the focal point, and built a mostly black and white palette around it, such as this rattan desk and this striped accent chair, to ground the space. Of course, no space is complete without statement art and a plant or two! I love blending residential and commercial design, it makes a work space feel so much warmer and more conducive to the creative process, and I love how this one turned out!

If you're looking to upgrade your own work space, use this design board as a jumping off point. Start with some strong hits of color, and layer in neutrals and organic materials. I'm especially loving rattan and shearling right now! Insider tip: blend high and low pieces to create a chic and budget-conscious space.
