Mirror Roundup: A Time to Reflect

As 2021 is just days away, now is the time for some self-reflection. We probably don't need to hear how this year was one for the books, and didn't pan out the way anyone could have imagined. What we do need to hear is that for the first time ever, hindsight really will be 2020. This year has been all about looking within to find happiness, and taking the time to find a new rhythm. Instead of the distractions that travel and socializing brought us, we found deeper satisfaction (often coupled with frustration) in connecting with loved ones in new ways. We've all had to pivot in one way or another, whether in the way we work, the way we educate our children, or the way we connect to each other. Pooh Bear says it best: "When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles." Here's to a 2021 filled with growth, meaning, and joy. But also travel, socializing, laughing, and a return to normalcy.

When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles.

And let's not forget our homes while we're doing all this reflecting. Our homes have become so much more this year; they have served as our schools, our offices, our places of worship, our places of gathering, and a comforting refuge in the face of the unknown. More than ever, our homes have become an extension of ourselves, and truly the backdrop to the story we all are telling. Ask yourself: what does my home say about me? If you're not happy with the answer, take this time to turn a fresh leaf and create a space that sparks joy.

xo,

Estie
