Green Machine

When two of the industry giants in the color world tell us that sage green is the It Color, we listen. Earlier this month, Sherwin Williams debuted Evergreen Fog and Benjamin Moore unveiled October Mist as their respective Colors of the Year. The similarities in the hues is too uncanny to be waved off as a coincidence, so what is the common denominator? According to Benjamin Moore, the neutral hue "[Evokes] the silver-green stem of a flower, ... [and] creates a canvas for other colors - and your imagination - to blossom."

Sherwin Williams also takes a nature-centric approach, declaring Evergreen Fog to be "a simple but sophisticated wash of beautiful, organic color for spaces that crave a subtle yet stunning statement shade."

This season, we're loving soothing swaths of sage in our interiors and wardrobes, and can't wait to see more uses for this subdued and refined color.
